Get to know Tracey!
Warm. Caring. Friendly. Empathetic. Great listener. Those are all words that perfectly reflect who Tracey is. She loves to bring people together. You can just tell when you’re around Tracey that she loves people, and she really means it when she says, “How are you doing today?” It’s those characteristics that make her the heart of mornings on BRIGHT-FM.
But don’t think she’s a softy, she’ll take you down in a game of Trivial Pursuit if the topic is music from the 70s/80s. Tracey’s a lifelong Catonsville, Maryland resident, musician, and lover of the beach.
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was little I wanted to be a singer. I put on shows in the backyard and kids would pay to come. Parents would even drop their kids off, knowing I would keep them busy for at least 30 minutes. They were riveted as I sang along to Karen Carpenter albums.
What would you name your boat if you had one?
My boat would be Sabbatical so whenever I was out on it, I could change my email and voicemail to say… sorry I missed you. I’m on Sabbatical.
Favorite song?
If I have to pick just one – Worlds Apart by Jars of Clay
Favorite Bible Verse?
2 Corinthians 5:17 (it’s tattooed on my ankle),
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
What makes you laugh the most?
The movie, Elf. I’ve seen it dozens of times and it makes me laugh hysterically every time. Also, my husband, Gary, trying to remember the lyrics to songs. He gets about 40% and makes up the rest.
