Shoebox Tips For OCC

For over twenty-five years, it has been Operation Christmas Child’s mission to deliver love, hope, and the good news of Jesus Christ to children worldwide. OCC has collected, packaged, and sent over 157 million shoe boxes in 160 countries to children in need. These shoe boxes contain toys, school supplies, and hygiene products that these children do not have access to or cannot afford. Not only are they receiving fun and essential supplies, it also opens a friendly and welcoming environment for them to experience Jesus.

Packing an Operation Christmas Child shoe box is super fun and easy. You can get a group of friends together and have a shoebox packing party, or round-up your kids and have a fun family project!

Here are some tips for you as you are packing your OCC shoe box:

Who am I packing for?
These boxes are going to boys and girls of all ages. When you are packing your shoe box, you will want to consider who you are packing for.

Do you want to pack a box for a boy or a girl?

What age range: 2-4 years old, 5-9 years old, or 10-14 years old?

Can I use any shoebox?

Definitely. It can be any shoebox. You can also order official OCC printed shoebox here if you would like.

Is there anything I cannot pack?

Gum, candy, and toothpaste have been added to the no packing list. Click here to get more information about what can go in the boxes to make them special.

Can I still pack a box?

Yes. National Collection Week is until November 25th.

Where can I drop off the Shoebox?

There are drop off locations across the country. Check out Operation Christmas Child to find the closest drop off site near you.
