Molly’s Minute: “Peace I Leave With You”

You know those people in your life who always leave you feeling a certain way?
Maybe there’s someone who makes you feel cared for—they always ask about you and listen to you when you talk about how you’re doing. Or maybe you know someone who infuses you with joy, because they always make you laugh. I’m sure there are people in your life who bring out some frustration in you, we’ve all got a few of those.
But what does the Bible say about how Jesus leaves us feeling?
In John 14:27, Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
After spending time with Jesus and experiencing Him for who He is, scripture tells us that we can be filled with peace.
Peace over our past, because He has forgiven our sins. Peace over our present, knowing He’s sustaining and guiding us. And peace over what’s to come, knowing our future with Him is secure.
So if you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or in need of some calm and quiet today, my friend, run to Him. He is the friend who will always leave you feeling at peace.
