Molly’s Minute: Overcome Today

What is the biggest challenge you’re facing today?

Something going on at work? Problems in a relationship? A struggle within yourself?

Whatever it is, you’re probably waiting for it to pass. Because once it’s over, then everything will get better, right?

But what if you didn’t have to wait? What if you could overcome that problem today?

In John 16:33, Jesus says, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Jesus’ triumph over sin and death means that we don’t have to wait for our problems to pass to overcome them. It means that in the midst of our trials, we can find peace, knowing that He has won the victory.

So today, let’s stop waiting to walk in victory. Let’s look to Jesus and know that since He has overcome, we have overcome, too.
