Molly’s Minute: Small Acts of Service Still Make A Difference

January 20, 2020

You might have heard already, but today is The Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. It’s a day to honor a life of service through serving others.

But maybe you missed the memo, or maybe you couldn’t find a way to get plugged into your community. But you still want to serve. What can you do?

You can share a smile with someone.

You can pay for someone’s groceries.

You can donate to a charity.

An act of service doesn’t have to be big and planned out to have an impact.

Anything that you do for someone else or to help someone else is an act of service.

So, all you have to do to make today a day of service is to help someone out in some way. The thing you do might be small, but its impact won’t be. It will make a difference.

If you want some ideas for small acts of service that will leave a big impact, check out this list of 100 small ways to serve!

Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
