Molly’s Minute: Sharing Freely

If you’re honest, what have you been a bit stingy with lately?
Your money? Your energy? Maybe your compassion?
Personally, I’ve been a little unwilling to share my time.
I already feel like I don’t have enough time in the day. So, when someone asks me to sacrifice some of it, my first response is to say no—to want to keep all my time for me.
When we have a limited supply of something, it’s natural for us to want to conserve it.
But the Bible never tells us to hoard earthly things.
It tells us to share them.
Hebrews 13:16, “Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”
God wants us to hold what we have loosely. He wants us to always be ready to share for Him, remembering that it’s all from Him, anyway.
So, today, let’s loosen our grip on the things we’ve been keeping for ourselves. And let’s freely share of all that God has given us.
