Molly’s Minute: Look For The Good

Growing up, my family would always play this one game in the car on road trips. It’s called Skittles.
If you’ve never heard of Skittles, this is basically how it goes:
When you see a yellow car and say the word “Skittles” before anyone else, you get a point. And the person with the most points at the end of the car ride wins.
It’s simple, but fun.
And it’s funny—you never realize how many yellow cars there are on the road until you start looking for them. Then, all of a sudden, they’re everywhere.
That’s true in life, too. Whatever we’re looking for, that’s what we see the most.
When we’ve been seeing a lot of disappointments, inconveniences, and problems in our lives, often, it’s because that’s what we’ve been looking for.
So let’s turn it around and play a game of Skittles today, with the positives in life. Let’s be on the lookout for the good stuff.
Psalm 34:5 “Those who look to Him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.”
