Molly’s Minute: If You’re Rooted In Christ, You Will Not Fall

February 24, 2020

Have you ever seen a hurricane before? It could have been in real life, or just in a video, that counts, too.

What always amazes me about images of hurricanes are the trees.

Because the wind’s blowing, and the trees are bending, sometimes almost 90 degrees. But the trees don’t fall. And when the wind stops and the sun shines again, the trees are still standing.

Because of their roots. Their roots keep them standing even when the wind comes.

And the same thing is true of you.

When trials and hardships come, you will not fall if you’re rooted in Christ.

He is a source of power, resilience, and hope for you when you’re facing difficult circumstances.

So, as you go through this week, if the wind starts blowing and you feel like you might fall, don’t forget about your roots.

Don’t forget about the unending source of strength that you have in Christ.

Colossians 2:6-7 “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”
