Molly’s Minute: God’s Door Is Always Open

My favorite professor in college was my favorite for many reasons. But maybe the most important was that it was impossible to bother him.
Because, honestly, I was a little annoying. I would go to his office hours all the time to ask questions, dispute my grades, or just to talk.
But even if I’d just been in his office for an hour, as I got up to leave, apologizing, my professor would say, “Molly, don’t worry about it. My door is always open.”
He made himself available to me. He gave me permission to come to him at any time with anything.
And God gives us that same permission.
Ephesians 6:18 says, “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.”
God wants us to come to Him with everything. There is nothing that He doesn’t want to hear about from us, and no way we could ever talk to Him too much.
So today, I’d encourage you to take every single thing on your heart to Him. Because His door is always open to you.
