Molly’s Minute: Comfort, No Matter Where You Are

My junior year of college, I studied abroad in China. It was an incredible experience, but sometimes, it was hard. I spent a long time away from home.

But whenever I found myself feeling homesick, there was somewhere I could go to feel at home:

Starbucks.

I’m serious!

In an unfamiliar place, that coffee tasted like home. And it was crazy to me that halfway the way across the world, a cup of Starbucks coffee could bring me comfort.

Did you know that, no matter where you are or what you’re dealing with today, God can bring you comfort in the midst of it?

In Psalm 23, King David writes, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

God can bring comfort, even into the darkest place.

So, I’d encourage you to take a second today to just rest your head on His shoulder. To feel His arms around you. Because in Him, no matter where you are, you will find comfort.

Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
