Molly’s Minute: Already At Your Door

I remember the first time I ever asked my best friend to get together with me.
We’d actually been close friends for a few years at that point.
See, I’m not what you would call an initiator. For years, my friend was always the one to ask me to hang out. So, when the roles were finally reversed, she couldn’t believe it.
I remember her saying, “It’s a good thing I didn’t wait around for an invitation from you, or we never would have become close.”
And thankfully, Jesus pursues us in much the same way.
In Revelation 3:20, Jesus says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come to him and eat with him and he with me.”
Jesus so desires to be close to you that He doesn’t wait for you to knock on His door. He’s already knocking on yours.
So, today, let’s answer Him. Let’s open the door, invite Him in, and spend some time with the best friend there is.
