From Hurt to Hope: Embracing God’s Plan
Have you ever come across a quote that just hits you right in the heart? I recently read one from Christine Caine that I couldn’t keep to myself. It goes like this:
“The long series of disappointments you accumulate in a lifetime can stop you from moving forward into all the goodness God has planned for you – and that means they’ll be stopping not only you, but also all those God has destined you to reach along your life journey.”
Wow, right? It made me stop and think, what past disappointment are you still holding onto? What’s been keeping you from stepping fully into who God created you to be? And how might holding onto that hurt be blocking you from helping others who need exactly what you’ve been through?
Here’s the thing: if you’re going to hold onto those disappointments, hold onto them only as fuel. Fuel to lift others up, to reach out to those stuck in their struggles, and to keep moving forward with hope. Let those bumps in the road become the spark that lights the way for someone else.
Today, think about one disappointment you’re ready to turn into your strength.
