Ed Reed Shares Testimony At Fellowship Of Christian Athletes Banquet

On March 9th, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, an organization dedicated to the spiritual growth of players and coaches, held its annual banquet and had a special guest who is very near and dear to Baltimore’s heart.
Ed Reed, former Ravens safety and Pro Football Hall of Famer, served as this year’s keynote speaker for the event.
The retired NFL safety is no stranger to the FCA’s mission as it is very similar to that of his very own with the Ed Reed Foundation, which provides mentoring and leadership to at-risk youth through sports.
Reed gave a moving message by sharing his testimony and how God has used sports in his life. The former safety specifically shared with the crowd that Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” is his favorite passage and has encouraged him through hard times.
The scripture is what Reed said helped him persevere through four “brutal” AFC championship games and the death of his brother.
Watch below for more of Ed Reed’s powerful story about how he’s leaned on God, his teammates, and the city of Baltimore throughout his life.
