Something To Get Excited About Today…

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” – Romans 8:1

Let them walk free! Release them! Not guilty!

Let’s pause and think about this for a second. You’re on death row, no hope for you in changing the verdict, nearing the end…what would those words mean for you to hear? You’re sitting behind the bars in the darkness when suddenly you are declared not guilty. Then, the prison doors begin to open and the shackles on you are removed. Imagine the relief and the pure joy that would come crashing down on you!

This is going to sound harsh, but the reality is that the entire human race is on death row, awaiting the end. Why? Because we are all justly condemned and guilty for breaking God’s law time and time again. His perfect and Holy law…we broke it and we continue to break it.

Then there’s Jesus.

Without Jesus, the Lamb of God, the Empty Tomb, there is absolutely no hope anywhere to be found. That cross that was meant to kill is our victory. It is through the cross, through the empty grave, and through the promise of His return that you and I have been declared NOT GUILTY.

It’s easy to grow numb to this life-changing truth and take it for granted. That’s why it’s important to remind ourselves that we have been offered the best kind of freedom that we could ever have, freedom from sin and eternal life with our Creator. But wait! There’s more…we are also given a supernatural power from God to do His will here on Earth.

You’re free, brothers and sisters. This is something to get EXCITED about!

That’s truth worth celebrating today and every day.

Let’s live for Him, and tell the world that Jesus lives!
