Best Places To Spot The Blue Angels Today & Friday

If you noticed some traffic delays yesterday, it could have been due to the Navy’s Blue Angels practicing their flyover throughout the day. People love to watch these amazing aviators showcase their skills.
Missed the practice show yesterday and want to catch a glimpse of the flyover? There’s still time left! Today, at 2 p.m., The Blue Angels will be performing at the USNA Air Show. They will also perform again at the U.S. Naval Academy commissioning ceremony at 10 a.m. on Friday.
The general public isn’t able to visit the campus for the flyover, but fortunately, you don’t have to be present at these events in order to watch the action. Well-known spots with a great view include:
- The Maryland World War II Memorial overlooking the Route 450 Bridge
- Jonas and Anne Catharine Green Park
- Street end parks in Eastport and downtown Annapolis
- Anywhere close to the Severn River (including on the water itself!)
The Anne Arundel County Police Department did issue a traffic warning for the days of these flyovers, so keep this in mind as you head out!
