The Healing Power of Story with Mitch Albom

Have you ever read an entire book just while standing at a bookstore table?
Best-selling author Mitch Albom has a gift of writing touching, relatable stories. His classic, “Tuesdays with Morrie” was prominently displayed on a table in a bookstore many years ago when I stopped by. I was perusing around the store when I picked up this book to take a closer look; before I knew it, I had gotten completely caught up and couldn’t put it down. Hours later, I had almost finished “Tuesdays with Morrie” before I had even left the store, and thought it would be the right thing to actually buy the book that I couldn’t put down.
Captivating us with timeless truths, deep questions and a sense of wonder, Mitch Albom has written so many books that you just can’t put down. In this podcast, I’m excited to introduce to you not just a great writer, but a beautiful human.
We had a warm conversation about his latest book, “The stranger in the life boat” (which I also read in one sitting). We also chatted about life, faith, grief, his work in Haiti, and the little girl that stole his heart named Chika.
What an honor to spend a little time with this fascinating man with such a big heart for people. Have a listen below!
