Scream Inside Your Heart

Theme parks in Japan have re-opened but have some safety measures in place to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
One of them – I don’t know if I could do: No screaming on roller coasters.
They released a video to show how to properly ride a roller coaster during this pandemic with 2 corporate executives staying stoic throughout the zigs and zags and ups and downs of the coaster ride.
The video ends with a caption that is translated: “Please scream inside your heart.”
I get it. I get why it’s necessary. But it also struck me as riding the line between really funny and really stinging…
Scream inside your heart. Isn’t that what so many people feel like they’ve been doing during this pandemic? Trying to hold it together on the outside and be brave and innovative and persevering and on the inside.. you are SCREAMING in your heart.
God knows all that you hold in that heart of yours. He sees, He hears the screams and whispers that never come out of your mouth.
I say, find a place you can let it out with just Him.
