Courage For Life has released the very first audio Bible voiced entirely by women. Ann White, a Bible teacher, led the charge.

White works closely with “at-risk” women in prisons, jails, rehab centers, and other facilities. As she worked to share the Bible with these women, White learned that for most of them, an audio Bible was the most realistic and easily accessible option.

She also found that many of them have been abused by men and it can be a traumatic experience to have to listen to the Bible voiced entirely by a man’s voice.

Courage For Life realized that an audio Bible voiced by women would be the best option, so they set out to make what would become the very first of its kind.

12 women, all from different walks of life, teamed up with Courage For Life to record their voices for this project. The entire Bible in the New Living Translation was just recently completed and is available for free in Courage For Life’s Bible App.
