Is God in Control?
You may have asked yourself these questions:
- Is God in control of my life?
- What does the Bible say about God being in control?
- How do I know God is in control?
All throughout Scripture, you can see God’s handiwork and the ways He stepped in and intervened in the lives of people throughout the Bible. From leading Moses and the Israelites through the wilderness, to calming storms, healing the sick, and working through ordinary people in unexpected ways, God’s presence can be seen again and again. Sometimes His work was big and miraculous, while other times it was slow, quiet, and only understood fully over time.
Even in moments when life feels uncertain or difficult, you can hold onto the truth that God is still working behind the scenes. Through every season, you can rest knowing that He is faithful, He sees the bigger picture, and He will never let you down, no matter what!

1. “You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.” – Proverbs 19:21
2. “For royal power belongs to the Lord. He rules all the nations.” – Psalm 22:28
3. “He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.” – Colossians 1:17
4. “I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course.” – Jeremiah 10:23
5. “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” – Genesis 50:20
6. “’Say to those with fearful hearts,“Be strong, and do not fear,
for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.”” – Isaiah 35:4
7. “The Lord replied, “I will personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest—everything will be fine for you.” – Exodus 33:14
8. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11
