What To Do When The Devil Tries To Distract You
In Nehemiah 6, Nehemiah was rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem as God had called him to do, but he kept getting interrupted.
“Sanballat and Geshem sent me this message: ‘Come, let us meet together in one of the villages on the plain of Ono.’ But they were scheming to harm me; so I sent messengers to them with this reply: ‘I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and go down to you?’”- Nehemiah 6:2-3
The enemy will always try to pull you off the wall. He will always want to get you distracted from the good work God has given to you. Don’t let him.
You don’t owe the enemy an explanation. Stay focused. Stay in the Spirit. Do the work God has for you.
Not everyone will approve. Not everyone will understand. Not everyone will thank you. And that’s ok. Why? Because you report to God, not to them.
