A Reminder And Prayer From The Book of Ephesians

Fullness. It’s something everyone longs for. We seek after it in our careers, our relationships, our experiences, our families, the list goes on…
The go-to outlet to make ourselves feel fulfilled is different for each of us, but they all have one thing in common: they’re temporary fixes.
That number of followers, new job, or perfect relationship won’t make you whole. You might celebrate for a moment, but there will always be something else to work toward. And even more so, there will always be a space left that you can’t fill outside of Christ.
Maybe it’s been a while since someone reminded you of this, but here it is: Because of Christ, you are already full. You are already enough. You are already completely accepted by God and loved beyond comprehension. This is the kind of fullness that you don’t have to strive for. It’s God’s gift to us through the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross.
Each day, let’s make it a habit to pray that we “may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ” (Ephesians 3:18) and find our fulfillment in that.
