When You Can’t Go Far, Go to God
We love a quick finish. If life had a “skip to the good part” button, we’d probably press it without thinking twice.
But life doesn’t usually move like a sprint. More often, it feels like a long, steady run. The kind where you hit that point and think, “Okay… I need a break.”
Maybe you’ve felt that lately. Not burnt out completely, but definitely not running at full strength either. Just trying to keep going.
Here’s the good news. You were never meant to do this in your own strength.
God doesn’t get tired. He doesn’t slow down. And He doesn’t run out of what you need. He gives strength when you’re running low, and He meets you in both the running and the resting.
Because it turns out, we need both. The strength to keep moving forward and the grace to pause and be renewed.
In Isaiah 40:31, we’re reminded that those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
So if you’re feeling worn down today, don’t push harder on your own. Go to the One who renews your strength. He will give you what you need for this moment, whether that’s the strength to keep running or the permission to rest. Either way, He’s not done with your story, and He will carry you through.
