Remembering Brian Doerksen

Today we reflect on and remember the life of beloved worship leader and songwriter Brian Doerksen, whose songs have helped millions of people draw closer to God for decades.

If you’ve ever sung Come, Now Is the Time to Worship, Refiner’s Fire, Faithful One, or Hope of the Nations, you’ve experienced the heart of Brian’s ministry. His music and ministry were centered on shining a spotlight on Jesus and inviting people into worship. His lyrics are a great reminder that worship isn’t just something we do on Sunday mornings, but a daily response to God’s faithfulness, even in life’s hardest moments.

One of the beautiful things about Christian music is that its message lives on, continuing to impact hearts for years to come, even after an artist’s passing. Because while our time on earth is finite, Jesus’ love is eternal.
