How a Scholarship Changed Viviana And Why She’s Giving Back
When Viviana first arrived at River Valley Ranch, she wasn’t sure what she believed. “I didn’t know much about God. I relied on my parents’ faith,” she shared.
Viviana had the opportunity to come to camp because of generous people who give to the RVR Scholarship program. And that week of camp changed everything.
At camp, she encountered RVR’s caring, quality staff – young people who love Jesus and model that love with joy and care. Viviana began to see the beauty of Christian community and what it means to live with joy in Christ.
“Coming to RVR opened my eyes to the possibility of a deepening relationship with God. It was one of the best opportunities I’ve been given.”
Viviana’s story came full circle when she returned this summer as a counselor, pouring into young campers with her deepened love for Jesus. She recognizes the kindness of those who give to the RVR Scholarship program, which impacted her and those she served: “Thank you. There are not many places like RVR. Your heart to give is truly amazing.”
God can use your generosity as a spiritual investment in the life of a young person like Viviana. Maybe it’s a kind word to a stranger in the grocery store, providing food to a Pantry Project event, or even investing in a RVR camp scholarship for a young person.
