CAIN Tells The Story Behind “Yes He Can”
How do you trust God with your future?
By remembering all He’s done in the past. And that’s what CAIN wants to remind you with their new song, “Yes He Can.”
Did He move every mountain?
Did He part every sea?
Yes, He did
So yes, He can
Over and over again in scripture, God commands the Israelites to recall His past works. Particularly the Exodus.
Freeing His people after hundreds of years of slavery, guiding them as a pillar of cloud and fire, parting the Red Sea—God clearly displays His goodness, faithfulness, and power in this story. And that’s why He tells the Israelites to remember it so often!
Deuteronomy 20:1 is just one of dozens of examples:
“When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, is with you.”
When God’s people need to be bolstered in their faith, He reminds them of what He’s done in the past. And it’s this theme that CAIN had in mind when writing “Yes He Can.”
Watch them tell the story behind the song here:
“The best way to have faith for your future is to look back and remember what all God has done.” -Taylor Cain
We’re hoping and praying that this song causes you to look back, remember all the times God has shown you what He can do, and believe that He can do it again.
