Baltimore City Schools Grab & Go Food Pantries And Meal Sites
With schools closed at least until May 15th, many children and families will have to get by for weeks without school lunches. But Baltimore City Schools is taking action.
On Wednesday, April 22nd, Baltimore City Schools will launch ten new Grab & Go Food Pantry locations.
These new sidewalk grab-and-go pantries will distribute food donated by the World Central Kitchen. A truck of frozen prepared meals will arrive at these sites once a week on a designated day (either Wednesday or Friday). Individuals and families may pick up meals between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
An individual person may take seven meals, one meal for each day of the week. Families may pick up meals based on the number of people in their household. For example, a family of four may take 28 meals (one meal per person for each day of the week).
City Schools will also continue to operate their 18 meal sites.
The locations of these ten new grab-and-go pantries and their scheduled pickup days, and the locations of the 18 other meal sites, are listed below.
