8 Bible Verses To Remind You Of God’s Love For You
“God doesn’t care about you or your problems.”
“God performs miracles for others, but He won’t do that for you.”
“God isn’t going to answer your prayers. Stop trying.”
All of the above statements are lies, but have you ever been tempted to buy into them? When we’re feeling down, defeated, and discouraged, Satan will feed us lies about God and His promises to us.
He did it to Eve in the garden. He even tried it on Jesus after His forty days in the wilderness. So, what makes us think he won’t try it with us?
Fortunately, we have God on our side and His character isn’t dependent on our mindset. The key to knowing God’s character is to turn to His Word and repeat the Truth to ourselves as long as it takes, even when it’s a struggle for us to believe it.
Here are a few truths about God to cling to when Satan’s lies try to creep in:
Luke 12:6-7
“What is the price of five sparrows—two copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.”
Psalm 77:14
“You are the God of great wonders! You demonstrate Your awesome power among the nations.”
Psalm 34:17-18
“The Lord hears His people when they call to Him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”
Philippians 4:6
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all he has done.”
Psalm 30:2
“O Lord my God, I cried to You for help, and You restored my health.”
Zephaniah 3:17
“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”
1 John 3:1
“See how very much our Father loves us, for He calls us His children, and that is what we are!”
Ephesians 3:18-19
“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”
