5 Fun St. Patrick’s Day Events For The Whole Family

Not Irish? No problem! You don’t have to be to attend these fun St. Patricks Day celebrations. Throughout Maryland, different counties will be holding parades, live music shows, festivals, and more for people of all ages to enjoy!
We’ve gathered a few events below that you and your family might want to put on your calendar for this month!
Baltimore’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Charm City will become a sea of green on Sunday, March 12th! The parade will kick-off at 2PM at the Washington Monument and head south toward Charles Street. Along the way, it will feature authentic Irish music, dances, and more. Save the date and be a part of a tradition that’s been going on for more than 60 years!
The Shamrock 5k Race
If you want to get in a quick workout before enjoying the sights of the parade, Baltimore is also offering a Shamrock 5k Race at 1PM! When you register for the race, you will also get access to a post-race party at ‘Power Plant Live!’ with prizes, awards, and more. Annapolis St. Patrick’s Day Parade
You won’t want to miss the incredible floats and music of Annapolis’ Irish Parade happening on Sunday, March 5th! The festivities begin at 1PM and will last for 2.5 hours as the parade makes it way through the community, and afterwards, you can head on over to City Dock for the FREE cultural festival!
Shamrock the Dock Cultural Festival
City Dock in Annapolis will be holding it’s brand new 2-day Irish cultural festival on March 4th and 5th. Attendees can enjoy amazing food while taking in performances from regional and international acts, including Irish dancers and pipe bands! The festival is free to attend on Sunday, March 5th, but you must have a ticket to get in on Saturday, March 4th. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Shamrock the Dock website.
St. Paddy’s Day In Caroline County
Caroline County is the place to be for St. Patrick’s Day! In past years, they have had leprechaun scavenger hunts, Irish dance performances, live music, a 1-mile fun run, and more. Check out Caroline County’s website to see what exciting events they will be offering this year!
