I am writing to inform you of an important update regarding BRIGHT-FM’s sister station WRBS-AM (1230), our Baltimore-based AM station known for teaching and talk programs. In addition to being heard on 1230AM and 94.3FM, WRBS-AM (1230) is also heard on HD Radio on BRIGHT-FM’s 95.1 HD2 and within the BRIGHT-FM app.
After careful prayer, thought, and reflection, we have made the decision to sell WRBS-AM (1230). This decision was not made lightly as WRBS-AM (1230) has been a meaningful part of our community for many years. If you have enjoyed listening to WRBS-AM (1230) through BRIGHT-FM’s 95.1 HD2 and within the BRIGHT-FM app, we are pleased to let you know these faith-deepening Bible teaching programs will continue to be available in these spaces as they are now.
As we continue to lead in the evolving media landscape, it is time for a new chapter. The sale of WRBS-AM (1230) will allow our media ministry, including BRIGHT-FM (95.1 WRBS-FM and 103.1 WRHS-FM) and our digital platforms to grow and serve the community in new and impactful ways.
It has been an honor and privilege to serve our Baltimore listening community through WRBS-AM (1230) since 2006. We will continue to minister to you and your family through the encouraging music heard on BRIGHT-FM and powerful Bible teaching on BRIGHT-FM’s 95.1 HD2 and the BRIGHT-FM app.
