Old-Fashioned Tent Revival Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday
Event Details:
Grace Independent Baptist Church will have an Old-Fashioned Tent Revival celebrating America’s 250th birthday on its grounds, located at 1485 Waterbury Road in Crownsville. The event is free, and all ages are welcome to attend. This is a two-day event.
The festivities will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, and will include games, Colonial figures in the crowd sharing their stories, patriotic music, and a Colonial costume contest with cash prizes for Best Family, Best Man, and Best Woman. Bring a picnic lunch to add to our free offerings of hot dogs, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, snacks, and drinks. There will be music by Pianist Andrew Uibel, and preaching by Evangelist Larry Gibbs will start the Matinee Tent Meeting at 1:00 p.m. There will be baptisms by immersion starting at 2:00 p.m. The Bible says, believe and be baptized. If you have never been baptized by immersion, this is your opportunity to be obedient and be blessed. An old-fashioned Hymn Sing will begin at 4:30 p.m., and the Tent Revival Preaching will begin at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.
On Sunday, July 26, 2026, there will be a Tent Meeting Worship Service at 11:00 a.m., with a potluck dinner to follow. All are welcome to attend. At 1:00 p.m., Evangelist Larry Gibbs will preach.
