Let’s Hit Pause
As soon as you wake up, there are a thousand problems to face, and a million more to manage throughout the day. It seems as if a cup of coffee can only get you so far before the overwhelming weight of the world starts to tackle you to the ground. It’s a never-ending stream of stress, anxiety, and responsibilities, and all of it seems to get louder in the fast-paced pressure of this race.
So let’s pause.
Let’s breathe.
And let’s give it all to God.
It doesn’t have to be this way. In fact, you were never meant to carry the weight of your own life in your hands. That load was always meant for Someone greater than you. Someone who made you. Who calls you to rest in Him, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light.
“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” –Matthew 11:28-30
So pause in the middle of the chaos. I promise you, it’ll all still be there when you get back. But right now, right here in this moment, you need to rest in Jesus. You need to lay it all down before Him. Give Him the stress, the anxiety, the weight of your world and let Him carry it for you.
It’s not your life to live alone. It’s God’s fight that He has already won, and you get to rest in His winning presence as He carries you.
So hit pause. And let Him carry you through the chaos.
