Blue Christmas Service
Event Details:
The holidays can be difficult times for anyone who has suffered loss or hurt. Saint George’s Episcopal Church, Hampstead offers a “Blue Christmas” or “Longest Night” service provides a safe space for healing. A service of comfort, it is a way we can recognize the depth of the season and help process those negative feelings that might be held within during the holidays. By doing so, we can all celebrate more fully, knowing we have acknowledged those who are no longer with us or what we might have left behind.
The Blue Christmas Service is a brief (under 45 minute) reflective service consisting of Music, Prayer, An Act of Remembrance and Holy Communion. All are welcome to participate fully.
