You Are Loved!

Thank you for joining us this week as we walked with Jesus through His final days on earth. We are so grateful for you!

This past week is one of the most important weeks in history, especially for those of us who believe in Jesus Christ. Our reality is that we are sinners and we have all fallen short, unable to save ourselves or clean ourselves up. Romans 3:23 explains that “everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” The penalty for our sin and falling short is death (Romans 6:23).

God could have left us in our sin, punished to die, but He didn’t. The good news is that He sent Jesus to die in our place and pay the penalty for our sins that we could never pay on our own. The best part is that He did it because HE LOVES US! Romans 5:8 says, “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

God did not wait for us to get it together or clean ourselves up. He knew we couldn’t. It was while we were still sinners He sent Jesus to die for us because He loves us so much! Did you catch that? HE LOVES YOU!

Before you ever knew Him, and while you were in sin, He was reaching out to you and making a way for you to be in a relationship with Him. If there is one thing to take away from this week, let it be that God loves you.

If you do not already have a personal relationship with Jesus, Scripture is clear that “if you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved” (Romans 10:9-10).
