The Pantry Project: What God Is Doing & How You Can Help

February 21, 2022
BRIGHT-FM

Throughout this month, BRIGHT-FM listeners have opened their hearts (and their pantries) to give to those in need through the Pantry Project.

Individuals from all over the state are joining with Hirsch Electric and BRIGHT-FM to collect much-needed items items for local food pantries to ensure that they are fully stocked and ready to serve the community.

Everywhere that the BRIGHT-FM van has gone so far, incredible people have followed to give generously. We have seen God provide abundantly, even in ways we never would have expected. One of those ways is through BKind.

BKind is a nonprofit organization that provides food, clothing, and hygiene products to those in need every Saturday in Glen Burnie. Amazingly enough, the week of BRIGHT-FM’s first collection stop, BKind had extra groceries that they decided to donate to the pantry at Chesapeake Christian Center.

The generosity didn’t end there…Countless others stopped by the BRIGHT-FM van to donate items and spread love in their communities, with many of them teaching their little ones to do the same! Our own Erin Branham paused to take a picture with one of the youngest Pantry Project participants.

Not only are these kids helping to provide for pantries throughout our state, but they make the cutest helpers too!

Each Pantry Project has brought out people of all ages to be the hands and feet of Christ in their communities. If you want to get involved, there’s still time! On February 26th, you can join the BRIGHT-FM team from 12 PM – 2 PM at Victory Villa Baptist Church. Stop by to drop off a donation, visit the BRIGHT-FM table for some free swag, and enter to win a great prize! We would love to see you there!

Aren’t able to give? No problem! Prayer is always needed and we would love if you joined us in thanking God for all He has done through the Pantry Project so far and praying that He continues to provide for those in need.
