You Never Have To Compete For God’s Attention

If only she could touch….the edge of his cloak. The hem of his garment.
The smallest piece of fabric that she could get her hands on. She had faith that Jesus could heal her if only she could get close enough to just barely make contact.
For us, it’s so much easier to get to him than it was for her.
We never have to compete with a pressing, crushing crowd. We never have to sneak up on him from behind, ashamed that our unclean-ness, will repel him.
We just come… in the quietness of our sincere heart, seeking Him, needing Him, crying out for Him…and He is there. In all the fullness of His love. Don’t settle for a little fabric of hope when you can have full assurance and loving relationship with this One and Only Jesus. Take heart. He sees you and wants the best for you.
“Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, ‘If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.’ Jesus turned and saw her. ‘Take heart, daughter,’ he said, ‘your faith has healed you.’ And the woman was healed at that moment.”
