“God Is Refining The Hell Out Of Us” Listen To Joni Eareckson Tada Explain Her Relentless Joy
A few weeks ago, Tracey was joined by Joni Eareckson Tada on the Your Day Brighter™ Podcast. Tracey was able to talk to her about being faithful, fighting fear, and what she believes God is speaking to us through what may be the hardest year of our lives.
Joni shared the powerful reason why she is able to have relentless joy in the midst of her cancer and the chronic pain that comes along with it. She explained that even in hard times, God tells us to “count it all joy. Not a little bit of joy, not just joy when we feel like it, not just joy when its convenient. But to count it all joy.”
She adds that the reason we need to have this joy as we face trials is because “we are being prepared for heaven, and God has just got to refine the hell out of us… not flippantly, but because He’s got to refine out of us every vestige of sin, pride, stubbornness, rebellion, self-centeredness…”
