When God Says “Go!”
Do you ever feel like God is pushing and leading you into something that you are so unqualified for?
It’s easy to let our self-doubt creep in and tell us that we aren’t ready to go where God wants us to go. Gideon suffered this same self-doubt when God told him that he would be the one to save Israel from the Midianites – He gave excuses to God, saying he was too weak and that he wasn’t the one for the job.
But the truth that Gideon had to understand still applies to this day: If God is guiding you towards something, you are more than equipped.
In the end, if God is for us, who can be against us?
“The Lord turned to him and said, ‘Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?’
‘Pardon me, my lord,’ Gideon replied, ‘but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.'”
