To Be Strong and Courageous, We Must Also Submit and Surrender

You won’t see “SUBMIT AND GOD WILL GET THE GLORY” on coffee mugs, clothing, or on your Christian girl-boss daily planner. Instead, we see “BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS!”

This popular quote comes from Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

But is there something we’re missing about this verse?

In today’s podcast, we will study and read the full context of Joshua 1:7-9 and see that God promises Joshua (and you) courage and strength, but that does not come without submitting to His ways.
