The Bible is so much more than a collection of words from God.
It’s a vehicle for communication of the ideas and plans of God. It has living, life changing, and dynamic power that moves and works in us and all around us! We can literally see the Word of God in action, we can believe and trust it with every fiber of our being, and we can know without a doubt that it won’t lead us astray.
The Word of God, like the precision of a surgeon’s knife, reveals not only who we are, but also what we are not.
We are loved, not abandoned.
We are chosen, not rejected.
We are cared for, not forgotten.
God’s Word penetrates to the very core of our moral and spiritual lives, it gets to the heart and it discerns both the good and the evil that is within us. God’s powerful, dynamic, life-changing, heart-transforming, sinner-redeeming Word will change us from the inside out, if we allow it.
God’s Word…We can’t just read and listen to it. We have to let it transform our lives and make us new creations in Him. Today, let’s pray and thank God for the gift of His word and ask Him to radically change us each and every time we encounter it.
