The Backup Plan That Will Save You Some Heartache

Wordle is like my coffee. In just 5 minutes or less, I get a win and I feel a little better about myself.
Except for today…there was no Wordle win. It sounds silly, but there’s something deeper we can take away from my Wordle addiction: We tie our happiness and worth up in things that are unstable.
If it’s something like a win at work, a grade on a test, income, looks, accomplishments, even our kids…Eventually, that “thing” will not be enough to fill us, and it will fail us. Or we will fail it.
We need to be extremely careful and alert when it comes to what we tie your self-esteem to. We need to have a backup plan. Or better yet, we need an everyday, foolproof master plan. What’s this plan, exactly? It’s as simple as this: Fall back into God’s love.
His love is always a safe place to land, and it won’t ever let you down. When you make it a goal to fall back into God’s love every single day, you’ll always win (unlike me with Wordle 😒)
“Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.”– Psalms 63:3
