Sweet Video: Caregiver Gives Nursing Home Resident A Meaningful Gift

April 29, 2020

94-year-old World War II veteran Ken Benbow is a resident at Thistleton Lodge nursing home in Lancashire, England. Ken and his wife, Ada, were married for 75 years until Ada’s passing. Since Ada passed, Ken has gone to sleep holding a framed photo of her every night.

When Kia Mariah Tobin, a caregiver at Thistleton Lodge, learned of this, she decided to do something special for Ken.

Kia gave Ken a pillow with a photo of his late wife, Ada, printed on it.

His reaction is absolutely priceless.

We know our residents are missing their loved ones at this time but let’s not forget those who sadly aren’t here with us anymore. Today, one of our lovely staff Kia Mariah Tobin gave Ken a pillow with his beloved wife on who we also cared for. Safe to say we all shed a tear with Ken today. Lots of love, your Thistleton Lodge family πŸ₯°πŸ₯°www.thetlchome.co.uk
