Read This If You’re Exhausted & Tired Of Struggling

Are you tired today? Are you sick of trying to do so much? If I can speak openly, and share some of what’s in my personal journal from a few days ago…
“I don’t feel like I have the energy to power through the things I don’t want to do. I’m overwhelmed. I’m fighting the urge to quit and do nothing. My capacity is not what it used to be. I’m sick of every day being a fight. I’m sick of all the effort it takes to just be ‘normal.’ I’m drained.”
If you’re there too, I hope you can find encouragement like I did in today’s passage from 1 Kings 19.
God found Elijah in his exhaustion, despair, fear, and weakness. Then, He had him do something so simple that each of us need to be reminded of as well…
Read the passage below and listen to the podcast to explore the powerful reminder God gave Elijah, and what it means for each of us today.
7 The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, “Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.” 8 So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God. 9 There he went into a cave and spent the night. And the word of the Lord came to him: “What are you doing here, Elijah?” – 1 Kings 19:7-9
