Paramount Pictures Is Making A Movie Based On Cory Asbury’s ‘Reckless Love’

Cory Asbury announced today that his hit song ‘Reckless Love’ is going to be made into a movie!
Producer, DeVon Franklin, is set to create a film for Paramount Pictures based on the song that we all know and love. The film will be written by J. Mills Goodloe, who also wrote The Age of Adaline and the Netflix hit P.S. I Still Love You.
Just like the Grammy award-winning song, the movie will be based on Cory Asbury’s relationship with his dad, the fragility of their relationship, and how their relationship wrongly shaped his view of God.
In a Facebook post today, Asbury wrote about how he came around to the idea of making his song into a movie. He explained that he initially had “every intention of telling him (DeVon Franklin), “Thanks, but no thanks.” The Christian singer-songwriter added that he felt that “taking advantage of the success of a song God had freely given felt a bit exploitative.”
However, Asbury eventually had a change of heart after talking to his dad and believes God is going to use this movie as a platform to inspire and move countless people.
