Now’s The Time To Bloom Where You’re Planted

This beautiful blossom caught my eye because it looks like it was pulled off a branch and then someone feeling guilty about pulling it off, just placed it there.
But it’s actually attached! Where is the branch or stem that flowers usually grow from? I was puzzled, so I got all up in this tree’s business and inspected this stunning fuschia bloom. It was growing out of what I’d barely call a nub in the tree bark.
It’s like the flower that decided…“You know, this may not be the stem or branch of my dreams, and I don’t know how long I’d have to wait for a better spot, so I’m just gonna bloom right here.”
What if we decided the same thing? We didn’t plan on being in this situation, but God knew we would… so what if we said, “I’m not gonna spend another day of quarantine being angry, lazy or hopeless, withholding the beauty I can bring to this broken world. I’m just gonna bloom right here.“
A long time ago, in the book of Jeremiah, God’s people were in exile. But even in that place, God had a good plan for His children. He still does.
“This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says to all those I carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: “Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce. Marry and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase in number there; do not decrease. Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.’”
”For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.”
