Molly’s Minute: Your Worth Is Fixed, And God’s The One Who Fixes It

May 21, 2020

Maybe you’ve been at home, so you haven’t seen it yourself. But you’ve probably at least heard that gas prices have been really low lately.

The other day, I was wondering why. So, I decided to google it.

Turns out, it’s pretty simple.

The price of a gallon of gasoline depends on supply and demand. If there’s a lot of gas available and not too many people using it, the price goes down. That’s where we are now.

Now, why am I talking about gas prices?

Because, in case no one has told you, you are not like a gallon of gasoline

While supply and demand can make the price of gas go up or down, there is nothing in this world that can make you any more or any less valuable.

Not what you do, or how well you do it, or what you’ve done before. Not how many times you mess up, or how someone else feels about you, not even how you feel about yourself.

Nothing can change how much you’re worth.

Because you are not like a gallon of gasoline. Your worth is fixed at what God says it is. And He says you are His treasure.

Isaiah 43:4 “Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you…”
