Molly’s Minute: You Can Be Honest With God

Who is someone in your life that you know you can be completely honest with?
For me, it’s my husband, Vaughn.
With Vaughn, I don’t have to have it all together. I can be angry or frustrated or sad, and it’ll be okay. I know I don’t have to be afraid to tell him how I really feel.
And we don’t have to be afraid to do that with God, either.
King David gives us a great example for this. Psalm 22 starts with David asking, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me…?”
David wasn’t afraid to bring God the not-so-pretty stuff. He told God all about his frustrations and doubts and questions.
And we can do the same thing.
We can be completely and totally honest with God, no matter what we’re feeling.
So, today, don’t hide your honest emotions from your Father. Bring Him everything and let Him bring you comfort and peace in it all.
Psalm 22:1 “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from my cries of anguish?”
