Molly’s Minute: We Are Who God Says We Are

When you were a kid, did anyone ever give you a nickname that hurt your feelings?
It happened to me, for sure. “Brace Face” is one that I got a lot.
Most of us get called names as kids, but it doesn’t stop when we grow up. As we get older, the world keeps giving us names. And those grown-up names hurt a lot more than the ones we got as kids.
If you’re hearing the world calling you something today, I want you to know that the world does not speak the truth about who we are.
God speaks the truth about who we are.
And you know what He calls us?
His children. His beloved. He calls us accepted and adopted and treasured by Him.
So let’s stop letting the world call us names, and let’s and start believing that we are who God says we are.
1 Thessalonians 1:4 “We know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you…”
