Molly’s Minute: Where Are Your Thoughts Moving You?

When I’m trying to eat healthy, one little thought about eating something sweet, like a cookie, means it’s game over.
Because that thought about the cookie will keep coming back over and over again. And pretty soon, I’m thinking more about how much I’d like to eat a cookie than about how much I want to be healthy.
And then, of course, I’ll eat the cookie, and I move farther and and farther away from my dream of eating healthy.
Our thoughts are powerful. So powerful that they have a direct influence on what we do and where we go.
Our lives tend to move in the direction of what we think about the most.
But thankfully, God knows that about us. So He’s given us the power to take control of our thoughts and turn them to Him.
So, let’s keep our thoughts fixed on Him today, so we move in His direction.
Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
