Molly’s Minute: Representatives Of Christ
Riding on the bus, on the way to my first school field trip ever, my teacher said something that really stuck with me.
She said, “OK, class. You have to be on your best behavior today. Because you are representing our entire school while we’re on this field trip.”
I immediately felt the pressure. I knew that the people I met that day would decide what they thought about my whole school based on me and how I acted. And you’d better believe I was on my best behavior.
How would you react if I told you that your words and actions reflect on someone else?
Because they do.
2 Corinthians 5:20, “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.”
As Christians, our actions don’t just reflect on us. We are Christ’s representatives in this world.
On any given day, we might be the most Jesus someone meets. So, let’s ask Him to help us represent Him well today.
