Molly’s Minute: When God Doesn’t Put Out A Fire

What are you asking God to take away from you today?
An unexpected situation? A problem in a relationship? Some negative emotions? Whatever it is, you just want God to get rid of it. To make it disappear.
And that’s not beyond His power. Our God is able to do anything.
But even though He can, God doesn’t always choose to put out our fires.
In Daniel chapter three, God doesn’t put out the literal fire in front of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They’re thrown directly into the furnace.
But God’s presence stands with them there. And they walk out of the fire without a single burn on them.
So, no. God might not take your problems away today. He might not choose to put out the fire you’re facing.
But if He doesn’t, you can be sure that He will walk with you through the flames.
Daniel 3:25 “He said, ‘Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.'”
